I'm back home after an incredible week at Devoxx Belgium in Antwerp. It was a blast, with plenty of great talks.
This year was especially exciting because my colleague Maximilien Richer and I kicked off the deep dives with our 3-hour session: “The Science of Signals: Mastering Telemetry for Observability”. I had wanted to do this presentation last year, but building a 3-hour deep dive is a real challenge and requires significantly more preparation time. Our goal was to provide attendees with all the foundational background knowledge to start creating genuinely observable products using OpenTelemetry.
We had a great feeling about how the presentation went—we only had to rush a little bit towards the very end. I'm really grateful for all the feedback we received from attendees; it already gave me ideas for improving the session for its next iteration.
